Community Social
An opportunity to reach those who are in need
Customized social programming developed with your team to develop an individualized social experience for your population.
Social accessibility is key and not always attainable. This is why we have established a program where we can ensure children are able to access their social needs in a safe space with the people they see everyday in their community!
Let's Get Social - The Challenges Faced
Social skills is a wonderful tool to have in your pocket. It helps you navigate both the positive and negative aspects of relationships while being able to remain true to what your needs are. When you have social skills you are able to shape your decisions based on what you need as an individual and then use those decisions to build on interactions with others.
Some of the key aspects of social skill development are:
-
Responsible Decision Making
-
Self-Awareness
-
Social Awareness
-
Relationship Skills
-
Self-Management | Self-Control
At times, these skills are not learned naturally (through everyday experiences) and need to be directly taught. Especially when children are faced with challenges that have impacted their relationships.
Challenges children face socially:
-
Advocating for self
-
Bullying (virtually and in person)
-
Joining groups to establish friendships
-
Reading social dynamics to select the "right" friend group
We Join You - Reaching Your Community
Developing a social skills program within your community (school, daycare, residential facility) helps provide a safe haven for children to build skills to navigate social relationships. The Behavior Corner works with you whether international or in a rural community to help you establish systems that successfully better children's relationships with others. Because sometimes, a little booster is needed to be socially confident.
